Harish Kothandaraman is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in product and platform development. He holds a master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction and has designed and developed products and web-apps used by millions around the world. Harish is passionate about managing a product's development, collaborating on large-scale projects, and listening to feedback from end-users. Harish's undergraduate background in Computer Science paved the way for his work at the Experimental Television Lab with Dr. Janet Murray at Georgia Tech, where he focused on companion applications for long-form narratives. He is one of the co-inventors of the idea, which has been instrumental in his career. Aside from coding, Harish is also a writer of fiction and poetry. He is the published author of Words that Burn Infinitely, which is available for download on Amazon. Currently, Harish is a Senior Software Engineer at Uber, where he is responsible for architecting the vision and executing on tooling and backend systems for the Driver Compliance teams. He has established processes for empowering ops through automation and tooling and created feedback loops to improve the user experience. Prior to his current role, Harish worked as a Software Engineer at Uber, where he defined, refined, and built internal operation tooling for Restaurant Management and Customer Service dashboards for UberEats. He also developed parts of ubereats.com, help.uber.com, and other consumer-facing websites. Harish's education includes a master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from SSN College of Engineering.
