Harshal Bora is a highly motivated Computer Vision-Deep Learning Engineer with a strong drive to create real-world applications. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in ECE-Computer Vision at the University of Michigan and working as a Computer Vision Software Engineering Intern at Rivian. Harshal's research interests include GANs, Transformers, and modern CNNs. He is particularly interested in applying Computer Vision to autonomous vehicles, medicine, and agriculture. Throughout his work experience, Harshal has helped design and create practical, utilitarian applications from simple POCs for video analytics and AI-powered surveillance systems. He has worked on creating systems from the ground up for on-edge processing. Harshal has a strong background in Linux systems and Linux-based embedded systems. He has also worked extensively with Docker, Kubernetes, and full-stack Python development. His past experience includes working as a Grader for course EECS592: Artificial Intelligence Foundations at the University of Michigan and as a Deep Learning Engineer at Uncanny Vision. At Uncanny Vision, Harshal contributed code to modular ML pipelines for video analytics, worked extensively with Docker, Flask, Kubernetes, and Bash, and created POCs for various use cases. Harshal's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology and an ongoing Master of Science in ECE-Computer Vision from the University of Michigan.
