Harshit is a highly skilled technology enthusiast with a deep interest in Machine Learning (Computer Vision) and Distributed Systems. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has worked on a wide range of projects in backend development using JAVA and Go, Web Development using Flask/Django/React, Computer Vision using PyTorch/OpenCV, Distributed Processing using PySpark/Tensorflow/GFS/HDFS, Reinforcement Learning, Time Series Data Analysis using Python, Platform using C/C++, and Systems. Harshit pursued his Masters in Computer Science at Stony Brook University with Specialization in Data Science and focus in Computer Vision. He gained adequate research and professional experience during this time. Previously, he worked at Samsung R&D for the enhancement and development of Tizen OS for Samsung television, where his tasks included kernel debugging, performance monitoring, and trend analytics. Before Samsung, he completed his bachelors degree in Computer Science from IIT Patna in 2017. During his bachelors, he had two research internships at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and IIT Kharagpur. Currently, Harshit is working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, where he is responsible for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage. Prior to this, he worked as a Software Engineer at Visiolab and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University where he taught courses such as CSE333 User Interface Development, Fall 2020, ISE339 Benevolent Computing, Spring 2020, and CSE214 Data Structures, Fall 2019. Harshit's education history includes a Master of Science - MS in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from IIT Patna. He possesses a wide range of technical skills including Software Engineering, Research Science, ML, infra, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, Backend, Web, HDFS, OpenCV, Data Science, Tensorflow, Flask, Pytorch, Python, Django, Java, C, and Spring.
