Harshit Gupta is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer III and Lead Platform Developer with a passion for contributing to new technologies. With over 6.5 years of relevant experience, Harshit has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ola and Paytm, and is currently working as an SDE-3 at Groww. Harshit's strengths lie in analyzing and making decisions in technical difficulties, as well as networking and coding. He believes in learning computer science as a whole rather than just focusing on coding. Harshit has a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Allahabad. At his current role at Groww, Harshit is responsible for developing software and leading the platform development team. He has also worked as a freelancer for Fox Cub Games, where he set up the infrastructure-observability stack on Prometheus and Grafana dashboards, and contributed to GitHub actions for installing and setting up node-exporters and custom exporters for Prometheus on application VMs. During his time at Ola, Harshit worked as a platform developer in the Infra Team, where he developed several in-house tools and libraries, enhanced and maintained existing infrastructure, and contributed to projects like observability, cost-optimization, and in-house cache engine. He also worked on customizing open-source projects like cAdvisor, node-exporter, and Redis-exporter. Harshit's tech stack includes software engineering, infra, AWS, Redis, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Flask, and Django. He is currently working on a project to build an application-based K8s operator capable of handling multiple clouds, multiple regions, multiple environments, multiple zones, and taking care of app onboarding, CI, and multiple level-based deployments for Canary/Blue-Green on top of service-mesh.
