Harshit Jain is a versatile Developer/Maker with a passion for innovation and technology. With a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Harshit has gained over 5 years of experience in the field of software engineering. Harshit's professional interests lie in Android development, Android App development, AI, Machine Learning, Embedded firmware, IoT, Robotics, 3D printing, EVs, and drones. He is proficient in multiple programming languages including C, C++, Java, Python, and SQL. Currently, Harshit works as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung, where he has previously held the position of Software Development Engineer. He has worked on the Samsung Camera App, including native code, and Camera Service side code for Android OS. Harshit has also developed a proof-of-concept for new features of the Camera app and performed performance analysis using advanced tools like pprof, Perfetto, systrace, and Android profiler, implementing optimizations. He also developed a python-based tool for time profiling of the Camera app for performance measurement directly from logs. Prior to Samsung, Harshit worked as an Embedded Engineer at GreyOrange, where he developed bare metal firmware for indoor autonomous robots. He also designed, developed, and tested the tool for OTA update of motor driver profiles and extended an API for diagnostics of Robot to make the diagnostics test more exhaustive and detailed. Additionally, he designed and developed a python script to update the bootloader of the robots. Harshit's technical skills include Android, SQL, Mobile, AI, C, Python, ML, Sentiment Analysis, Random Forest, test, Research Scientist, Tensorflow, Neural Networks, and Backend. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Harshit is a valuable asset to any team he works with.
