Hayden Hotham is a self-motivated and highly driven Systems Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a passion for technology and entrepreneurship. He is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a degree in Computer Engineering. Hayden has an impressive track record of creating virtual and augmented reality experiences, utilizing machine learning to find new groups of stars at NASA, and managing the DevOps/Cloud of an up-and-coming startup. In his current role at AWS, Hayden is responsible for DevOps for Serverless services. He has a heavy Linux knowledge, which he uses to deploy code, log dive issues, and solve issues before they arise. Hayden is also skilled in coding automated solutions to complex problems in Python, Ruby, TypeScript, Bash, and Java. Prior to joining AWS, Hayden worked as an Embedded Software Engineering Intern at Northrop Grumman, where he managed enterprise-scale git solutions for large projects with over 100 employees. He also demonstrated and presented solutions to program structure and worked with program teams to implement changes between repositories. Hayden has also worked as a Software Development Intern at Vectorworks, where he integrated augmented reality into CAD software for real-time and 1:1 scale visualization of architectural models on the HoloLens. He ran a local server on C# to transfer model data from a PC to the HoloLens and utilized AWS technologies to serverlessly transfer the data from a PC to multiple HoloLens' around the world. Hayden's education background includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Danish Technical University. Hayden is skilled in AWS, Web, DevOps, Typescript, ML, Python, Ruby, Java, and Software Engineering.
