Hemanta Bora is a dynamic and passionate engineering professional with a strong focus on data and analytics. Currently working as a Data Engineer (L2) at Twilio, Hemanta is responsible for building Bellhop, an intelligent Slack bot that facilitates access, audit, and answering generic data-related questionnaires for data-related services such as Presto, Looker, Tableau, and more. In addition, he also led the finance SVOT platform development in Presto to integrate Twilio organic revenues with its acquired revenues, launched the daily metrics store for Twilio's SMS operations, and optimized Twilio's data ingestion platform Monkey resulting in big dollar savings. Prior to his current role, Hemanta worked as a Data Engineer (L1) at Twilio, where he built and launched robust data pipelines and integrations while addressing stakeholder requirements to keep the lights on. He also administered SendGrid data warehouse, served as an ADMIN for Presto and Snowflake, and contributed proactively to data and business intelligence help forums. Before joining Twilio, Hemanta worked as a Big Data Engineer at Altisource, where he developed big data pipelines and data products, created complex ETL jobs, and designed and built a near real-time data ingestion platform LendersOne. Hemanta holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Silchar. He is proficient in various technologies such as Snowflake, SQL, AWS, Python, ETL, infra, Hadoop, Data Warehouse, Spark, MySQL, Apache Airflow, Big Data, Research Scientist, Neural Networks, and Apache Hive. With 4.86 years of relevant experience, Hemanta is a result-oriented and dynamic fast-learner who is always eager to take on new challenges and deliver exceptional results.
