Henric Suuronen is a Founding Partner at Play Ventures, a premium early stage games VC fund that he co-founded in 2018. Under his leadership, Play Ventures has grown to four funds and combined $310m assets under management with industry-leading IRR, MOIC, and DPU. Henric has also made angel investments in various companies, including Astralis Group, Huuuge Games, and PlayRaven, all of which have had successful exits or IPOs. Before founding Play Ventures, Henric was the Head of Studio for wooga, where he helped the company grow from 1.6m DAU to over 10m DAU, becoming the second-biggest publisher of social games on Facebook in 2011. He also created, designed, managed, or supervised the release of more than 50 game titles across various platforms and technologies such as iOS, Android, Facebook, Web, XBLA, PC downloadable, and Carrier Wap. Henric's career highlights include the acquisition of Nonstop Games, which he co-founded, by King for $32M plus $68M earn-out to form the first King studio in Asia in August 2014. He was also the original PM of Millionaire City, Facebook's seventh-biggest game in November 2010, with 2.95m DAU. Henric has a Master of Science (Technology) degree from Åbo Akademi University, a Master of Science (Business) degree from Åbo Akademi University, and a Master's degree in Business Admin, Marketing, and Spanish from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). He has a solid tech stack that includes blockchain, product management, Android, iOS, and Web. Currently, Henric is a Limited Partner at gumi cryptos capital, where he invests in crypto and blockchain funds. He was also a Limited Partner at Prime Movers Lab, which invested exclusively in breakthrough science and deep tech, and an Investor at Iconiq Capital, where he invested in their legendary funds ISP V and ISP VI, which invested in companies like Wolt. Henric has relevant experience of 9.94 years in the industry.
