Himanshu Maurya is a passionate software developer who is dedicated to making people's lives better through his work. Currently pursuing an MSc in Speech and Language Processing at the University of Edinburgh, he is on a quest to build an AI system that can help understand and improve written text by providing human-like feedback. With over 5 years of relevant experience in the field, Himanshu is currently working as a Machine Learning Intern (Applied Research) at quantiphi, where he has developed a python package for finding optimal routes with stops for optimal Vehicle Routing. He has simultaneously optimized for Capacity, Time, and Distance constraints using Google OR-tools. Prior to this, Himanshu has held various positions at quantiphi, including Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer. He has also worked as a Document Writing Mentor, where he analyzed statements of purpose and admission essays for content quality and coverage of important aspects, grammatical correctness, and provided actionable feedback to improve the applicant's essays. Himanshu's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing, Jabalpur, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Speech and Language Processing at the University of Edinburgh. He has also completed various nanodegrees, including Machine Learning DevOps Engineer, AWS Machine Learning Engineer, Data Streaming, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning Foundations, and High School Certificate in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kendriya Vidyalaya. Himanshu's tech stack includes ML, Research Scientist, Python, Deep Learning, AI, NLP, Big Data, XGBoost, TensorFlow, and Pytorch.
