Himanshu Shrivastava is a result-oriented professional with over 7 years of experience in Information Technology, specializing in Embedded System Design. He holds a Master of Technology (MTech) degree from IIIT Bangalore. Currently, he is working as a Senior Staff Software Engineer/Performance Analyst at IBM India Systems Development Lab. Himanshu is experienced in Accelerated Computing (Nvidia volta GPU’s) and has worked in the area of Technical computing/High-Performance computing-HPC and software tools development for compilers and accelerators (Nvidia-GPU) with over 9 Publications and Articles/Collaterals. He is proficient in Performance Analysis of various architectural features of future IBM Power Processor core, Performance projection of traces using cycle accurate simulation models, bottleneck analysis and characterization to drive the new hardware design and Projection quality trace collection and validation. His expertise includes Performance Analysis and Platform Engineering of the accelerated systems -IBM Power System with Nvidia GPUs (AC922, IC922) - V100 and Tesla T4, Workload performance analysis and platform Engineering, Developing web-based tools (frontend and backend)- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Continuous Integration using Jenkins. He is skilled in Python, C, PHP, bash, Linux, CUDA, OpenMP GPU offloading & MPI, Jupyter Notebook. In his current role, Himanshu is responsible for Performance Analysis of various architectural features of future IBM Power Processor core, Workload characterization and workload setup on simulation models, Projection quality trace collection and validation, Performance Analysis of various workloads on POWER systems platform, and Hardware tracing to enable modelling and designing the future generation of POWER processors. Himanshu has previously worked at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer/Performance Analyst- Hardware Tracing and Software Performance Analyst (Technical Computing/HPC). His experience includes the architectural study of IBM POWER System with Nvidia GPU (Volta), workload/application evaluation on IBM HPC System AC922, parallel programming using CUDA, OpenMP, MPI, and Performance analysis. Himanshu has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Samrat Ashok Technological Institute. He has also completed a Preparation of Engineering Services course from IES Made Easy, New Delhi.
