Hitesh Gupta is a startup operator, scaling specialist, and angel investor with over 19 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Curator at vcBytes Angels, a network of people who have done startups and understand the pain and joy of the startup journey. Hitesh helps gritty entrepreneurs at very early stages and usually writes the first cheque to the startups. His key focus area is deal sourcing across sectors, managing deal flow, and driving the complete fundraising process till closure. He is passionate about building startups and helping SMEs to scale, raise PE investments, and M&A. Hitesh started his career as a Research Engineer at Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), where he developed and tested applications in OpenGL, C, and C++ on IRIX 6.5 OS. He was actively involved in developing 3D CAD/CAM prototyping software used for simulation and visualization activities of Light Combat Aircraft. Later, he founded vcBytes, a consulting firm that helps startup/SME entrepreneurs to scale, raise investment from VC/PE firms, and M&A. Hitesh holds an M.S. in Software System from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a B.E. in Mechanical from the University of Madras. He also attended Landmark Education and Model School. His tech stack includes product management.
