Hiteshkumar Patel is a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer with almost a decade of experience in the field. Currently working as a Technical Lead at Walmart, he is tasked with developing next-generation technology for the company's Pharmacy division. Hiteshkumar was one of the first members of the team and has played a crucial role in building it from scratch. He has been instrumental in onboarding 90% of Walmart's 5000+ pharmacy stores into production, which generates multi-billion dollars of yearly revenue. Hiteshkumar's expertise lies in designing and architecting systems from scratch, working with various stakeholders of a business, legacy system migration, and mentoring junior team members. He has a broad range of technical skills, including Microservices, NoSQL Storage, SQL server for transactions, Kafka, and many more. Prior to joining Walmart, Hiteshkumar worked at Qubole as an MTS-3, where he implemented two features in the Spark Engine team. He also worked at 24/7.ai as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where he designed and developed a Kafka common consumer framework, which has a throughput of approximately 800 Million events/day into production with a handful of small VMs. Hiteshkumar holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from BITS Pilani and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
