Indumathi's career journey began at Sify, where she worked as a Sr. Executive in the Learning and Development function. She then moved on to Talent Takeaways Consulting India Pvt. Ltd, where she served as the Lead Operations for Learning and Development. At Talent Takeaways, she was responsible for managing the end-to-end learning and development process, including needs analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation. She also played a key role in expanding the company's presence in the Asia Pacific region. Indumathi holds an MBA in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Loyola College, where she graduated in 2010. Prior to her MBA, she completed her schooling from Church Park, Chennai in 1991.
