Jay Kamat is a passionate and result-driven Game Developer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working at SuperGaming in the role of Game Developer. Jay is an imovator and has excellent Unity UI/NGUI expertise, Unity C# Gameplay Programming skills, and communication skills that enable him to work well with team members during feature implementation. He has been playing various video games since childhood, which has been a part of his life, and he loves to try out new games in the market to know what's trending. In his spare time, Jay enjoys playing computer games in the FPS and Strategy genres. Apart from his love for gaming, Jay is an avid traveler and motorbike rider. Currently, he is addicted to a hardcore military simulator game called 'Squad' by Offworld Industries, which requires core social interaction and coordination features over VOIP between different human players to achieve the goal of capturing and controlling sequential control points to secure the win. Jay believes that games like Squad, involving a fake reality but being immersive and hardcore enough, could replace real-life war and be a peaceful way of resolving certain matters, getting us closer to Utopia. Jay's current work at SuperGaming involves quickly grasping the existing gameplay/networking code and architecture and extending the systems over time to implement various new features in their Casual FPS Mobile Shooter Game (Maskgun). He has also been involved in prototyping an ambitious undisclosed title over a working period of 1 month. Jay has worked with technologies such as Unity3D, Photon Unity Networking (PUN), Behavior Designer AI, Texture Packer, and Opsive Ultimate Character Controller. Before joining SuperGaming, Jay worked at June Gaming as a Game Developer and was involved in implementing various new features in their Casual FPS Mobile Shooter Game (Maskgun). He also worked as an Engineer Intern at Zynga, where he was involved in implementing new game features, extending Themed Events feature, and fixing on-call live issues affecting a large number of player event progress rollback due to server outage. Jay holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from Goa College of Engineering. He also has a Science degree from M.E.S. Higher Secondary School and completed his primary and secondary education at St. Josephs Institute Primary & Secondary School. Jay's tech stack includes AI, Mobile, P2P, UI, Designer, Javascript, PHP, and Integration.
