John Sanders is a Senior Front-end Developer with over 14 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Currently, he serves as the Founding Frontend Engineer at Veza, where he creates reusable UI components and JavaScript libraries while working with remote teams. Prior to his current role, John worked as a Senior Frontend Engineer and Senior Software Development Engineer at Amazon. During his time at Amazon, he designed a set of tools and systems to enable deployment independence for many teams working on a SPA. He also wrote a design document for containerizing middle tier code and breaking up the monolithic stack. Furthermore, he coordinated with open source developers to implement a new build system using Webpack module federation, created PoC for dynamically loading federated modules at runtime based on manifest stored in CDN, and provided design, architecture, and code reviews for three partner teams contributing to their SPA. John is also a mentor and has mentored junior, Java-focused developers in front-end best practices related to performance and maintainability. Additionally, he designed a system for migrating between major versions App definition schemas in a safe way for all clients and created the first iteration of a shared component library for use across the HoneyCode product. John holds a Certificate in International Entrepreneurship from Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business, a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas Tech University, and an A.S. in Computer Science Technology from Community College of the Air Force.
