Kajal Gupta is a skilled Software Engineer, Computer Vision and Data Scientist with over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Data Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and is set to graduate in May 2021. Kajal has a passion for solving complex problems and contributing in the best possible way. She has played various roles such as technical head, project lead, researcher, and mentor while being in college and work. Kajal started her career at Siftr Labs, which got acquired by APUS Group in January, where she worked in the computer vision team. She then moved on to work at Adobe, where she spent two years working on the Acrobat Reader mobile app and then switched to another subproject "Liquid Mode" in Acrobat Reader. Her main goal was to effectively improve model accuracy by preparing great quality datasets. Kajal then worked as a Global Product & Technology Intern at ADP in 2020, where she worked on the automation of SS4 document extraction using Machine Learning and NLP. She also worked on cross-team helping them out in the performance analysis of table detection by Camelot. During her last week, she focused on research topic - "Image Question Answering in Benefits & Payroll documents using Computer Vision and Deep learning". Currently, Kajal is working as a Software Developer at NJIT Ying Wu College of Computing under Dr. Craig Gotsman to develop an Augmented Reality app "Robin" powered by Vuzix Blade Smartglasses. It's a "Cognitive Assistant" that uses face recognition and speech recognition to provide aid to people suffering from cognitive impairment such as Alzheimer's disease. Kajal is proficient in various technologies such as Deep Learning, NLP, Python, Mobile, Data Engineering, and more. She is also an active blogger on LinkedIn, where she shares her knowledge and experiences. She believes that writing code to develop something is an art that requires passion, patience, and belief that you can do it.
