Kapil Khandelwal is a highly experienced Vice President at BlackRock, with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering. He has a strong background in managing and making visible the product backlog, working closely with business, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure collaboration, product strategy, user story development, prioritize defect resolution, and release of the product. Kapil is also responsible for examining the current system, troubleshooting technical issues, requirement gathering, and designing the system guidelines. Kapil has a proven track record of leading QA delivery activities and designing the process of Test Automation. He has designed and developed the ATDD framework in various tech stacks, including Cucumber/Spec flow, to support Web, Window, Mainframe, and API automation. He has also designed the Automation framework to validate application in dimensions of Resiliency, High availability, Fault Tolerance & Chaos Engineering. Kapil has exposure to various monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Stack Driver, Nmon, and Logging tool Splunk, Elastic search. He is also familiar with concepts like Chaos Engineering (Chaos Monkey/Kube Monkey), Microservice-based architecture, Multitenancy, Messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka), Datastax Engine ((Spark/Cassandra)), API management (Apigee), Docker (Container Service), Caching (Redis), and various cloud platforms like OpenShift/Kubernetes/Azure/Google. Kapil's current role at BlackRock involves providing overall leadership to team members, managing deliverables, designing QA/Agile processes in the application, and interacting with dev/product stakeholders. He is in practice to develop tactical and strategical coordination with Product, Dev, and engineering services and involved in the implementation of solutions. Kapil is also working out ways to optimize the testing process at a high level and identify tools and technologies that align with business goals, company infrastructure, and testers' skillsets. Kapil has previously worked with UnitedHealth as a Software Engineering Manager and Associate Software Engineering Manager. He has led QA delivery activities, designed the process of Test Automation, and ensured the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanisms. Kapil has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from NMIMS.
