Kunal Farmah is a highly skilled Android Developer with expertise in the latest design methodologies including MVVM Architecture, Firebase, and Jetpack components. He is proficient in developing apps from scratch and managing production level large apps with a huge codebase with little assistance. Kunal is also capable of developing apps in React-Native. Currently, Kunal is working at Airtel X Labs as a Software Engineer - Android, where he is a part of the Thanks App Platform team. He takes on short to large scale tasks that have an equal effect on the quality and stability of the app. Kunal has reduced the app size by more than 3 MB, improved the build time of the app by 4-5 minutes on release, and fixed more than 50 bugs in the app. He is also maintaining an entire patched fork of react-native source code that is live in the app with over 12 crash fixes in react-native source. Kunal has worked on several apps, including Airtel Thanks, Exampur, Rojgar With Ankit, Adhyayan Mantra, Bharti Learning App, Online Benchers, and Exam Centric, among others. He is proficient in C++, Java, and an entry-level programmer in Python and JavaScript. Kunal is an active learner and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from DTU. Kunal has previously worked as a Mentor at DevScript Winter of Code 2020, where he guided budding developers and students towards open source contributions. He has also worked as an Android Developer Intern at appx, where he developed and maintained 80+ live Android apps with regular shipping of releases to the Playstore, including creating new screens and integrating new SDKs in the app while maintaining a stable crash-free rate.
