Laina Emmanuel is a co-founder and CEO at BrainSight.AI, a product company focused on AI and 3D visualization based solutions for diagnosis and prognosis of neuro-psychiatric disorders. With 14 years of experience in technology, international development, and business, she has turned her passion for sustainable, ethical living into a driven career. Laina's interest lies in building systems for driving change, be it through policy, business, or technology. Laina started her career in software development at Netapp and Offshore Development Centre of Cisco at Infosys as a systems programmer. She moved to the international development space where she worked on a wide variety of issues as an independent consultant, including health and education policy. Subsequently, she went to business school (ISB) to learn about businesses and majored in healthcare. The entrepreneurship bug bit her, and she went to the MIT entrepreneurship boot camp to learn as much as she could about being one. And here she is. Laina has worked with various organizations as an independent consultant, including the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where she spearheaded the development of the National Cold Chain and Vaccine Logistics Action Plan. She has also worked with ACCESS Health International, an international health policy research and consulting firm, as the Research Manager for The Health Financing Support Program (HFSP), which helps countries and states in their journey towards Universal Health Coverage through financing and data reforms. She initiated and drove all partnership conversations with the Health Department, Madhya Pradesh (MP), including Principal Secretary and Mission Director, leading to their first confirmed partnership. Laina has also built and executed a market entry strategy for a health-focused non-profit looking to create employment opportunities for women. Laina holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing and Healthcare from ISB and a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication from NIT Calicut. She has relevant experience in AI, software engineering, and research science for over 15.86 years.
