Lily Lau is a skilled Frontend Software Engineer with a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly web applications. With over 5 years of relevant experience in the tech industry, she has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Uber and Georgia Institute of Technology. Lily's journey in the tech world began in 5th grade when she started creating customized HTML "pet pages" on Neopets. This early interest in web development eventually led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology. During her time at Georgia Tech, Lily worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where she took on several projects, including redesigning the Drawing Apprentice UI and conducting user testing to analyze engagement levels. She also designed and implemented learning tools on the frontend in a Python/Java e-book web application. After graduation, Lily joined Uber as a Software Engineer Intern on the Driver Team, where she worked on integrating driver features into Uber's internal ticketing system and increasing driver app reliability in low network regions. She is currently a Frontend Software Engineer at Uber for Business Health & Central, where she continues to develop innovative solutions to enhance the user experience. Lily's technical expertise includes software engineering, frontend development, research science, web development, testing, UI design, Python, and Java. She is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
