Currently, Mahalakshmi is a Product Manager at ShareChat, India's biggest vernacular social network, where she is responsible for devising strategies to increase the Daily Active Tamil Userbase on the ShareChat mobile application platform. She is heading pivotal projects of the company to increase user retention by playing on user understanding of the vernacular market space, strategizing growth paths in-depth for every stage of the project right from the scratch, and finding and connecting with business partners to promote and provide relevant content. Mahalakshmi has scaled the monthly active user base of ShareChat's Tamil community from 5 million to 8 million, ideated strategy, analyzed user behavior, and ensured product adoption of the "groups" feature of ShareChat, and headed a self-initiated project to further scale user base during festive occasions.
