Manoj Shikhar is a Mechanical Engineer with over 3.69 years of experience in the fields of Application Engineering and VAVE. He has completed his B.Tech and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Manoj is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer at Eaton, where he is responsible for Application Engineering (Engineered to Order) and VAVE Crouse Hinds BLine. At Eaton, Manoj has worked on custom orders of D2L, D2LX, D2D, EXD, EPL, EPLX, EBM, EBMX, ECP, EJB, XLC, EIBB and has designed more than 200 drawings in AutoCAD. He has also designed an automated tracker and dashboard in excel by using excel formulas only. Manoj has conducted 3 tear-down events for lighting products of Crouse Hinds Eaton. He did idea analysis, contacted various idea owners to get clarity on their ideas, assisted them and reported out the final feasible ideas of the events. He was responsible for expediting the procurement of products from Syracuse to Pune so that the tear-down events could be conducted on time. He was also responsible for taking all the IP clearances, safety clearance and reserving a slot in the test lab of EIIC to conduct the tear-down activities. Manoj has also worked as a Summer Intern at Bosch and Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Limited. At Bosch, he applied the problem-solving approach to reduce the rejections due to quality loss in the test line and magnet line of common rail injector. He reduced the rejections on the magnet line due to core damage and that on the test line due to valve sets by 10% and 30% respectively. He also supported the localization project of CRI 1-14 magnet sleeve by finding the root cause which lead to reduction in the material cost further reducing the injector production cost. At Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Limited, he prepared the Standard Operating Procedure for the fabrication of the parts of the excavator used for mining purpose and focused on the fabrication of the main frame, arm, center block of boom and assembly of boom, upper frame, and tail frame. Manoj has completed his Ph.D. (PMRF) from IIT Delhi. His education history includes MECH.SYSTEMS DESIGN (M.Tech Dual 5Y) from IIT Kharagpur, AI
