Manu Pushpendran is an accomplished product management professional with over 16 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently, he is working as the Payments lead at Netflix, where he is responsible for managing the payments ecosystem for the streaming giant's global user base. Prior to joining Netflix, Manu served as the Director of Product Management at Hotstar – Novi Digital Entertainment Private Limited, where he led the subscriptions, partnerships, and living room experiences for the popular Indian streaming platform. During his tenure, Manu played a pivotal role in launching Hotstar internationally in the US and Canada as a subscription service and expanding its subscription business in India through partnerships with Jio, TataSky, and Flipkart. He also launched India's first large-scale 360 3D stereoscopic VR experience for the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup and Hotstar apps on Roku, Fire TV, and Android TV for the living room. Before Hotstar, Manu worked as the Product Management Lead at Housing, where he led the conceptualization, design, execution, and delivery of the most delightful online property buying experience. He launched a unified listings platform, an industry-first "quick view" experience, and curated property collections to facilitate property discovery. He also led a process of continuous experimentation to inform product iterations and set up agile engineering processes towards more continuous, predictable, and timely delivery of products/features. Manu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Technology from Veermata Jijabai Technical Institute. He is proficient in Android, iOS, Search, Web, and Mobile technologies and has a proven track record of delivering successful products that drive business growth.
