Mathivathan Vhallatharasu is a seasoned Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, with a wealth of experience in managing the entire spectrum of SaaS products across mobile, web, and platform products. He holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a BTech (Hons) in Mining Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. He has also completed a Master's in International Management from ESCP Europe and a Master of Technology in Safety and Disaster Management in Mines from IIT Kharagpur. Mathivathan is a product marketeer turned product manager and has been part of the success journey of two Indian SaaS unicorns. He is a product manager who speaks the language of tech, business, UX, Sales, marketing, and support. He is a Quora Top Writer 2018 and has built products for Real Estate and Healthcare, apart from horizontal products for Support, Sales, Marketing. At Freshworks, Mathivathan led key strategic initiatives across sales, marketing, and product. He headed the global launch of Freshworks 360, a unified customer experience platform, owning it end-end right from pricing, PR, SEO, website, positioning to support and sales. He reported to the CEO, Girish Mathrubhotham. At Microsoft, he is part of IC3 messaging powering Teams, Skype, and Azure communication service. He handles bots, augmentation, and search. He has also led the strategic UWP native app to WV2 based migration of application on Windows and Surface Hub to offer a unified experience across devices and to scale up development using the existing ODSP stack. He is building the Microsoft whiteboard for Surface hub, Teams devices, and Windows to help businesses and educational institutions achieve more through collaboration in the digital era. Mathivathan's education and experience in platform product management have helped him get a holistic understanding of all the products and markets while getting maximum exposure to engineering, making him comfortable in engineering architecture discussions and dealing with technical questions in the absence of the engineering team. He is proficient in product management, search, Azure, mobile, web, and senior software engineering.
