Matt Dancho is a highly experienced Director of Product Engineering & Market Development at Bonney Forge. He is a passionate data scientist who helps business professionals and analysts become data scientists. Matt has a unique story that sets him apart from others in the field. He started as an Excel-Guru and found R, which opened up a whole new world of data science. By applying data science to business, he led his team from $3M/year to $15,000,000 per year. Matt began consulting, which led to trainings all over the world. He found his passion for teaching and made a company out of it called Business Science!. Since discovering data science, Matt has not worked a day in his life, and he loves every minute of it. Matt's current role at Bonney Forge involves using predictive analytics to grow sales from $3M/Year-Over-Year to $15M/Year-Over-Year, a 500% increase. He created a SQL database that stored leads and trained technical sales staff to use the database for logging leads and requests for quotation. Matt applied predictive analytics to score leads and focused on the highest likelihood of purchase (LOP), resulting in a 5X increase in sales revenue. In his previous roles at Bonney Forge, Matt uncovered unmet demand through analysis of Technical Sales quotations leading to $6M Year-Over-Year business. He reviewed sales inquiry data on missed projects and developed plans for a Fast-Track Program that generated $6M in revenue in the first year. As Manager of Product Engineering, Matt led a cross-functional project on a key design change to improve fugitive emissions, affecting the core forged steel valve product line. Matt has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Penn State University, a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. He has 17.87 years of relevant experience and is proficient in data science, product management, research science, SQL, Python, NLP, ML, and web technologies.
