Mayank Mangal is an experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in management consulting and retail industries. He is skilled in Tableau, BigQuery, MS Excel, Python, and Machine Learning and has undertaken several projects that involved the application of ML & DL algorithms. Currently working as a Data Scientist at ofbusiness, Mayank has developed a recommendation engine for multiple in-house products using a hybrid approach of Collaborative and Content-based filtering using FastAPI framework in Python. He has also designed various data pipelines for seamless transfer of data from source to BigQuery using Airflow. Prior to his current role, Mayank worked as a Data Scientist at Impact Analytics, where he successfully converted a leading food products client's POC project starting from scratch, including collecting, cleaning, and extracting patterns in the data. He also designed a time series model to predict the number of items that will get sold in the future using ARIMA and prophet models. Mayank built a model for clustering of similar stores based on various metrics involved after dimensionality reduction using PCA. He worked closely with the software team for end-to-end implementation using FastAPI & Postgres to deploy the model in the product. Additionally, he automated a manual data preparation task, including the automatic transfer of new files from SFTP, Gmail, and Google Drive to Google bucket (Google Cloud Platform), thereby reducing 6 hours of manual work to 10 minutes every time. Mayank conducted various Ad-hoc analysis as and when required. Mayank holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also completed his Higher Secondary School from Nalanda Academy, Kota.
