Mayank Singal is a full stack roboticist with over 4 years of experience in deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, robot perception, data structures and algorithms, software development, project management, and systems engineering. He is currently working as a software engineer at Waymo. Mayank has a Master of Science degree in Robotics and Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University, where his Capstone project involved learning autonomous driving behaviors using reinforcement learning. Prior to his studies at CMU, Mayank worked for Samsung Research India as a Senior Software Engineer, where he developed real-time on-device object detection and image classification tools for flagship Samsung Galaxy devices. Mayank has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Uber and as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Samsung. At Samsung, he developed deep learning-based solutions for image classification, unconstrained object detection, action recognition in video snippets, video summarization, real-time 2D human pose estimation, and real-time semantic scene segmentation on mobile devices. Mayank's strongest areas include deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, robot perception, data structures and algorithms, and software development. He is proficient in Python, C++, Pytorch, and Tensorflow. Mayank holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and completed his high school education at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi.
