Meisam Poorzand is a highly motivated and skilled full-stack software engineer with a passion for developing intuitive and user-friendly applications. With a degree in computer science and over 5 years of relevant experience, Meisam has developed expertise in a wide range of programming languages, frameworks, and libraries, including Java, C++, Python, React.js, and Angular. Meisam's passion for technology extends beyond his work as a software engineer. He is also a soccer fan and a self-starter with a persistent drive to succeed. He is always looking for opportunities to learn and develop new skills, and he is particularly interested in using technology as a vehicle for positive social change. Meisam is passionate about teaching others to love technology and has a strong focus on building applications that improve the user experience. Currently working as a Back End Developer at Lightstorm Entertainment, Meisam is a member of the development team responsible for implementing essential applications for the production of Avatar sequels. He creates RESTful APIs and maintains and tweaks previous endpoints for a browser-based digital asset management and human workflow system. Meisam also designs mapping schemas using Elasticsearch for improved query performance and manages and maintains MySQL databases using the terminal and writing Java code for CRUD operations. Additionally, he troubleshoots network connectivity errors and supports the frontend team by sharing information on how to properly access data from web services. Meisam has also worked as a Full-Stack Web Developer for both General Assembly and freelance web development. At General Assembly, he designed and laid out responsive web applications and built secure full-stack web applications according to common design patterns. At freelance web development, he created web models and prototypes that included interface, logical, and data models and developed databases that supported web applications and websites. Meisam's education includes an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Los Angeles Pierce College and a Full-Stack Web Development Immersive Certification from General Assembly. Meisam's diverse technical skill set includes backend and frontend development, SQL and NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, and software engineering. He is experienced in using a range of project management tools, including GitHub, GitLab, and Git, and is familiar with other related techniques such as MVC, Linux, RESTful APIs, OAuth, JSON, XML, Postman, Google Firebase, Token-Based Authentication, Passport, Expo, and Microsoft Office.
