Mohammad Arafath is an experienced Engineer, Software currently employed at Amazon, where he is part of the team that owns Amazon Prime. He is involved in the development of Amazon Fuse, a new product for third-party global distribution of Amazon Prime, Amazon Prime Video, and Amazon Music. Arafath has a strong background in software engineering, having worked at Boomerang, where he was responsible for large-scale crawling, real-time crawling, AWS fleet management, markdown optimization, and price intelligence suite. He designed end-to-end architecture and defined the product life-cycle for these projects. He reduced fleet management costs by 50% and brought down instance cold-boot time from 9 minutes to 52 seconds. He also built a horizontally scalable R-engine for Boomerang's Markdown product, reducing runtime by 50% and building monitoring that made the process transparent. Furthermore, he built a price intelligence dashboard and a nifty Chrome extension called BoomBar, which clients used to compare competitor prices on their product page, increasing account conversion and exceeding Q1 milestones. Arafath is also a founder of Zoot, a 3D-social-network only for IIT-H students. He rendered the whole hostel-campus to 3D using Blender and added a social-networking-layer onto it. Arafath holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from IIT and has completed his Class 11, 12 from Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Class 10 from RRR Public School, and High School till Class 9 from Cambridge Public School. Arafath is proficient in AWS, Java, and Integration and has relevant experience of 8.77 years. He is a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in software development and architecture.
