Naman Gupta is a Senior Consultant at HCL Technologies with over 8 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering, data warehousing, and ETL. He started his career with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. serving BFS clients and then moved on to Yash Technologies serving mining clients. He has hands-on experience in designing data process flow using various Microsoft Azure components, including Azure Functions, Event Hub, Event Grid, Stream Analytics, Time Series Insight, Logic App, Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, and Key-vault. Naman has a good understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts with ample work experience using various query languages such as MySql, PLSql, and Kusto Query language. He has hands-on experience of multiple ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Datastage, and Informatica. He has worked on ingesting data from multiple sources to Hive tables, writing Hive Scripts for creating tables and loading data, extracting data from Hive, and performing data analysis using Pyspark and Scala. At Yash Technologies, Naman was involved in ingesting data from on-premises sources to the cloud (Data Lake Storage or Azure SQL), copying data using Data Factory and Databricks, creating orchestration pipeline in Data Factory and scheduling it using triggers, writing code in Pyspark for data processing and transforming, storing the data at various locations like ADLS, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, ADX, and TSI in various formats like AVRO, Parquet, and json. He has also written modules for IoT Edge devices and used Azure Function, Event Grid, Event Hub, and Logic App for achieving serverless decoupling architecture. He has also used Azure Data Explorer and Stream Analytics to process streaming data. Naman holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from GLNA Institute of Technology.
