Naresh Sunkara is a seasoned Software Engineering leader with over 29 years of experience in the technology industry. He has a diverse background ranging from Embedded Systems to large-scale web-enabled applications, with extensive product development experience leading and building global engineering teams in Networking, Wireless, Web Security, Distributed software systems, AI, and Big Data. Naresh has a strong track record of building cutting-edge technology products, starting from concept to delivery. He has successfully led cross-functional software teams to deliver complex systems projects and engaged with customers. Currently, he is the Sr Director of Engineering at isima.io, where he is leading the development of an Ingest to Insight Data platform that eliminates operational headaches associated with current data engineering platforms. This platform allows customers to take data science and AI models to production in a matter of days, instead of weeks or months. Prior to isima.io, Naresh was the Head of Engineering at Drishti, where he led the development of a product for time and motion studies in the manufacturing domain using Deep learning/Computer Vision, Big Data, IOT, and Cloud Technologies. He also served as the VP of Engineering at Cambium Networks, where he built cloud-based Networking solutions for wired and wireless equipment and on-premises enterprise software products. Naresh has demonstrated ability in conceptualizing and building one of the most scalable wireless LAN controllers for enterprises and hybrid cloud deployments, with built-in programmability for Network access. Naresh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and an M.E in Computer Science from IISc. He also completed his High School education from Sector X school.
