Nikhil Marathe is a highly experienced Director of Development at Commvault | Metallic Engineering & SRE Operations, with over 16 years of relevant experience. He has extensive experience in working with enterprise-class SaaS platforms, including Metallic, where he is currently an Engineering Leader and individual contributor in planning, designing analytics solutions, and test planning. Nikhil is an expert in compliance apps, GDPR solutions, and ediscovery, as well as backup applications, analytics, data deduplication, and cloud-based solutions. He has extensive knowledge of indexing, analytics engines, Apache SOLR, Apache Drill, workflow engines, and VERITAS products like Cluster Server, Volume Manager, and Replication. He is also well-versed in Microsoft products like Exchange and SQL Server. Nikhil's automation expertise includes PERL, C#, and Python, and he has a deep understanding of SRE, test, SQL, search, integration, NLP, QA, ML, and Salesforce. He has worked with open-source technologies like Apache SOLR 4.8 and Apache Drill for search and analytics products, and he is specialized in designing and implementing analytics solutions at big environments. In his current role as Director of Development, Nikhil is responsible for leading indexing, search, and analytics teams for test planning, strategies, development, and automation. He is also involved in strategic planning for analytics solutions and search features, competitive analysis, and driving new Pune office setup, recruitment, and technical trainings. He is working to build GDPR solutions for enterprise customers for different applications and managing product QA teams across different locations in India and the US. Nikhil has previously worked at Commvault as a Senior Manager of Development and Manager of Development, Product Certification. In these roles, he was responsible for development, planning, and design for new indexing layer frameworks, mentoring new joiners, recruitments, design interview tests, and qualifying business intelligence tools' integration with CommVault Index. He also specialized in designing and implementing analytics solutions at big environments and was responsible for the design, test planning, and development of CommVault Analytics Platform (DATACUBE). Nikhil holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computers from the University of Pune.
