Niloy Mukherjee is a seasoned Trust and Safety professional with over 7 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently, he is working as a Senior Product Strategist at Google Cloud, where he is responsible for managing operations to enable good revenue and disable bad revenue (losses) across compute/app engine, cloud storage, and the portfolio of cloud products contributing $13 billion+ to the company's top-line. Niloy has extensive experience in abuse detection and prevention, preparing PRDs, roadmaps, and abuse detection strategies for mitigating emerging areas of resource, network, and content abuse. He has worked closely with Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, Prodops, Payments, and Legal teams to assess model impact, build maintenance strategy, and increase friction in customer journey for bad actors. In addition, Niloy has a strong background in business intelligence, reporting business metrics directly to CXOs and higher management, developing and managing key SLOs/SLIs, operational workflows, and customer communications through several channels. Prior to his current role, Niloy worked as a Product Strategist and Program Manager Intern at Google, where he gained expertise in data operations, deep learning, and earth engine. He has also worked at Samsung Research and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Niloy's tech stack includes research scientist and deep learning, and he describes himself as being "in perpetual beta."
