Nisarg Shah is an experienced Image Processing and Embedded Systems Engineer with over 9 years of professional experience. He possesses key skills in Image Processing, C Programming, Multi-core Programming, Embedded Systems, and Linux. He also has expertise in Machine Learning (Neural Networks and SVM), OpenCV, Matlab, Data Structures, Algorithms, Computational Geometry, and Android Application development. Nisarg is currently working as a Technical Lead at Applied Materials, where he has contributed to the design and development of polygon Boolean operations, semiconductor wafer/panel alignment using Image processing techniques, and auto diagnostic algorithms to detect hardware anomalies and optical aberrations. He has also developed software simulations for lithography tools and implemented multi-threaded start-up code using pthread POSIX APIs. Nisarg has also been instrumental in building and leading teams, interviewing candidates, and helping team-mates ramp up and lead them technically in their assignments. Prior to his current role, Nisarg worked as a Tech Lead at Samsung, where he contributed to the research and development of various image/video processing algorithms, including planning, implementation, algorithmic experimentation, porting, optimization, commercialization, cross-team collaboration, PoC development, and customer interactions. He has also worked as a Senior Engineer at Ittiam Systems Pvt Ltd, where he developed and optimized video encoders (HEVC, H264, MPEG-2) on various Texas Instrument DSPs and Intel servers. Nisarg has co-authored 3 IEEE conference publications and filed 2 patents. He holds an M.Tech. in Visual Information & Embedded Systems Engineering from IIT and a B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Nirma Institute of Technology, Ahmedabad.
