Nitika Kamboj is an Applied Scientist II at Junglee Games with a passion for data science and a drive to add value to businesses through data engineering, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence. With over 4 years of relevant experience, Nitika is well-versed in discovering hidden information from vast amounts of data to deliver better business products and insights that serve customers better. Nitika began her career as a Machine Learning Intern at a fin-tech startup, where she honed her skills in statistical analysis, feature engineering, and automating credit scores using machine learning techniques. She then moved on to become an NLP Engineer at Scanta, where she transformed natural language data into useful features, developed NLP systems according to requirements, trained developed models, and performed evaluation experiments. Currently, Nitika works as a Software Engineer/Data Scientist at greendeck/cliff.ai, where she creates ETL pipelines for scraping data, cleaning, and ingesting data into ElasticSearch and MongoDB. She also uses Celery to automate data pipelines and is proficient in a variety of tech stacks, including Python3, Airflow, NLTK, Docker, Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Celery, and Kibana APIs. Nitika's past work experience includes a role as a Machine Learning Engineer at Scanta, where she worked on data dashboard generation by analyzing virtual assistants' conversations to map intents and detect anomalies. She was responsible for end-to-end engineering on NLP products pipelines from data mining and data cleaning to modeling and deployment on the cloud. She also developed a data augmentation tool using Bert and synonym replacement and used Kafka nodes as message brokers, encapsulating modules into docker containers. Nitika has also worked as a Data Science Intern at redcarpetup, where she implemented a solution that gives behavior scores to a loan buyer using PostgreSQL to fetch data from the live data stream, performed data cleaning and feature engineering to build relevant features to be used to build a statistical model. Nitika holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology and completed her Higher Secondary School education in Mathematics and Science from the Central Board of Secondary Education.
