Om Prakash Bajiya is a Salesforce Consultant at Appirio, with over six years of relevant experience. He is a deontologist by nature and strongly believes in justifying the means to achieve an end. Om started his career as an application developer and later transitioned into a product lifecycle management professional, gaining valuable insights into lifecycle and information management aspects of a product. He believes that whatever one does, it should be done for the end-users, which is directly related to his close affinity with people. Om completed his Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, where he studied strategic prospects of operations and information system management. With his new learnings, he now believes more in efficient processes that can help carve out opportunities for many. Om is a bibliophile and loves reading classics and fiction as well as business books. He is a big fan of U2 when it comes to music and has a penchant for running as it keeps him calm and composed. At Appirio, Om works as a Solution Architect and is primarily involved in all stages of an opportunity life cycle from deal qualification to deal closure. He contributes actively in deal pursuits with proactive and reactive proposals for client’s business challenges and collaborates with technical and sales teams. Om has worked with innovative solutions for the Consumer Goods industry and Connected Car domain in Automotive. He has also comprehensively assessed client’s existing technology landscape to craft a digital transformation roadmap, mapped client requirements with relevant Salesforce products and integrations with 3rd party applications, and prepared solution architecture and design with a digital lens including calculating pricing and effort estimates. Om has previously worked as a Summer Business Analyst at Shell, where he created a sustainable transition from global to local contracts and saved 6% on procurement and sourcing costs. He has also worked as a Core Member for Bhavishya - Social Initiatives Committee, IIM Lucknow, where he sensitized awareness for commonly prevalent yet undermined social issues through community visits and workshops, conducted fundraising events, and organized blood donation and medical health camps for the benefit of a large number of people. Om has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from SRM University and a PGDM degree in Strategy, Operations, and IT/Systems from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He is a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Salesforce.
