Palvit Garg is a passionate senior software developer with over 4 years of experience in the tech industry. He is currently a Computer Science Grad student at North Carolina State University and working as a Software Developer II at Microsoft. Palvit is always looking for challenging tasks and loves to explore new domains and areas out of his comfort zone. At Microsoft, Palvit has developed a recovery mechanism for reload failure of Application Gateway (Azure L7 load balancer) during high RAM utilization. He has also set up and configured Azure resources and Azure Monitor to collect and analyze application gateway’s performance under high request load to support ongoing features development. Palvit has ramped up the application gateway team within 2 months using a very systematic approach. He has developed a very good understanding of cloud resources and networking concepts and a deep understanding of server-side code working. Previously, Palvit worked as an Associate Staff Engineer at Samsung, where he implemented NR connected discontinuous reception feature for Samsung Exynos modems. He optimized 4G and 5G modem algorithms for DSDS (Dual sim dual standby) and DRDS (Dual radio dual standby) features to improve efficiency and reduce starvation and deadlock. Palvit designed a new communication protocol between GNSS and modem chip to accommodate complete functionality and saved some memory. He managed complete software-level communication between GNSS and Modem chip and acted as a single POC from modem. Palvit has actively contributed to a lot of existing 4G features like MBMS, ETWS, DRX, BPLMN, etc. Palvit holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from NIT. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Azure, Mobile, and C. Palvit has relevant experience of 4.95 years. Palvit's work experience has helped him enhance his analytical skills by working with a lot of calculations to compute precise time and improved his debugging skills. He has learned to think multidimensionally, question everything, think at the system level, and approach problems systematically.
