Piyush Shah is a seasoned Product Manager with over 11 years of experience in the embedded systems domain. He has expertise in HomeKit, IoT product development, embedded hardware/software design, and documentation. Piyush is comfortable working with C, data structures, Linux/Unix, network programming, and device drivers. Currently, Piyush is working as a Product Manager at Espressif Systems, where he manages the designing and development of multiple products. His primary focus is on ESP RainMaker, ESP HomeKit SDK, and ESP Jumpstart. He defines the specifications, API interfaces, and user workflows, anticipates and manages customer requirements, and documents various components. Piyush is also responsible for implementing the C-based device SDKs. Prior to his current role, Piyush worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Espressif Systems, where he led the Apple HomeKit Solutions Project. He was responsible for all aspects of development, testing, documentation, release management, partner/customer interactions, certifications, etc. Piyush also worked as a Staff Engineer at Marvell Semiconductor, where he led Marvell's (Apple) HomeKit SDK efforts. He was responsible for coding, testing, documentation, certifications, release management, and assisting customers at all stages of HomeKit product development. Piyush holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Systems from BITS and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the College of Engineering. He also holds a High School Certificate (H.S.C) from S.P. College, Pune, and a Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C) from Bal Shikshan Mandir, Pune. In addition to his technical skills, Piyush is a skilled product manager with experience in Android, iOS, and test.
