Pranjali Basmatkar is an aspiring Deep Learning researcher with a keen interest in Machine Translation and Natural Language Processing (NLP). She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in NLP from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is expected to graduate in 2022. Pranjali is actively seeking internship opportunities for Summer 2023 to apply her theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience in the field. Pranjali has over four years of relevant experience in the industry, having worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Quantiphi and as a Machine Learning Engineer at the same company prior to that. During her tenure at Quantiphi, she was responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models for various clients, including a leading US-based insurance provider and a global financial services firm. She has hands-on experience in NLP, ML, Deep Learning, and Big Data technologies, and has worked on projects related to sentiment analysis, chatbots, and recommendation systems. In addition to her professional experience, Pranjali has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from NMIMS, Mumbai, which she completed in 2019. She has also completed several online courses and certifications in machine learning and deep learning, including a specialization in Deep Learning from Coursera. Currently, Pranjali is serving as an NLP Student Ambassador at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she is responsible for organizing events and workshops related to NLP and promoting the program to prospective students. She is an active member of the NLP community and has presented her research work at various conferences and workshops.
