Prashanth NS is a seasoned technology professional with over 12 years of experience in building technology products. He has a strong background in multimedia-centric applications and video codec development on various embedded platforms. Currently, Prashanth is the Co-Founder of Zoapi, where he is responsible for product design and marketing. In his previous role as Sr Technical Lead at Pathpartner Technology, Prashanth played a lead/architect role in designing and developing a media streaming product. His responsibilities included optimizing the media pipeline, building algorithms for optimal bandwidth usage, programming with networking protocol for streaming data in real-time, and implementing a signaling protocol. He also served as Technical Lead/Architect on two separate projects, where he designed and developed a broadcast quality HEVC/H265 encoder on a multicore-multichip DSP platform and Intel server-class platforms. His biggest challenge was to come up with a combination of functional and data partition-based techniques to design a 4k encoder on 8 to 64 core architecture. He extensively worked on encoder algorithm development to achieve the best quality vs. performance metrics. His responsibilities included building Motion estimation, Rate Distortion Optimization, Rate Control, Scene Change, Algorithms for fast mode decision, etc. Prashanth holds a Master's Degree in Embedded System Design from Manipal University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Shri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering. He also completed his Secondary Education and Pre-University College from Dr. NSAM Pre University College, Nitte. Prashanth's tech stack includes product design and Senior Software Engineer.
