Prasheel Renkuntla is a dedicated and detail-oriented robotics professional with a passion for discovering quick and creative approaches to perfecting conventions and delivering effective solutions. Prasheel has gained exposure to all phases of project development, from ideation to technical demonstrations of the product for the customer, through different projects. Prasheel has hands-on experience in various fields, including motion planning, control systems, computer vision, neural network design and implementation, localization and mapping, real-world lidar-based robots, and autonomous UAVs with capabilities such as fault mitigation strategies, obstacle avoidance, LQR, LQG, PID (software and hardware imp.), Kalman Filters, forward kinematics, inverse kinematics, CAD modeling, 3D printing, and sensor fusion. Prasheel has represented the University of Maryland in MSSPIX'20 at Fort Leonardwood, MO. He is proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, MATLAB, C#, Typescript, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. He is also experienced in using frameworks such as ROS, OpenCV, Simulink, and Solidworks, and tools such as Gazebo, RViz, CoppeliaSim (VRep), PX4, ArduPilot, QGroundControl, and Colab. He is familiar with operating systems such as Windows and Linux (Ubuntu), and methodologies such as Agile Software Development, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Pair Programming, and Test Driven Development. He is also proficient in GIT, Microsoft Office Apps, and Google Suite. Currently, Prasheel is a Software Engineer I at Agility Robotics. Previously, he worked as a Robotics Engineer at Blueberry Technology Inc, where he designed the architecture for Android app communication with the vehicle and its software components in ROS, developed firmware for custom circuit boards to improve on existing UART, I2C, and USB bus, evaluated performance of different low-powered computing devices to deploy custom ML models for object detection, and built the test framework for the core software stack based in ROS. He has also worked as a Research Student at the University of Maryland, where he integrated sensors like IMU, Encoders, GPS, & 2D lidar on the Clearpath Jackal to develop localization with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) through ROS and thus navigate smoothly on pavements.
