Pratik Sengupta is a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer with almost 12 years of experience in delivering enterprise-grade software solutions using JEE/Web technologies. He holds an M.E. degree and is certified in SCJP, SCWCD, and Pega Certified System Architect. Pratik has a core competence in Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, EJB 3+, and Web Services (SOAP & RESTful), JMS, Kafka, jUnit, Mockito, Performance testing using Apache JMeter and AppDynamics. He has also worked with cloud technologies like AWS and has exposure to the AWS serverless stack, openshift 2.0, container management tools like Kubernetes and Docker, and ServiceMesh with elementary knowledge with Istio 1.1. Pratik has worked in Tomcat, JBoss EAP 6+, WAS 7.0, and databases like Postgresql, Oracle 11g, My SQL, MS SQL Server. He also has a secondary skillset of Javascript, jQuery, and BackboneJS. Pratik has worked in CI/CD environments using Jenkins, TFS, GIT, Maven, Ant, Sonar Reports, Code Quality analysis, and code coverage plugins (Code Pro, EclEmma). At Pegasystems, he designed and developed the new Email processing flow, resulting in close to 300% performance boost. At Deloitte, he worked as a Senior Developer on Retail Banking projects following Agile Scrum. Pratik holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Software Engineering from Jadavpur University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Printing Engineering from the same university.
