Puneet Mehrotra is an accomplished VP Product in the financial services industry, currently serving as AVP & Product Head at airtel. With 14.27 years of relevant experience, he possesses expertise in providing strategic vision and product direction to fintech product streams. Puneet has built best-in-class ‘Pre-Approved’ product journeys for Personal Loans, Credit cards, BNPL, Credit Score service & Insurance, and has envisaged a unified Lending platform to power a suite of fintech products. He has created a book size of a few hundreds of Cr within a year of launch, defined the data strategy to sharply identify the users looking for loans, and partnered with DS team to create a strategy for Alternate Credit Score thus opening the credit option for millions of users. Puneet is building and spearheading a team of 6 PMs and mentoring a cross-functional team of Product, Growth, Engineering, Data, and Analytics. He is a business partner to SME team to drive the key business KPI’s and has defined growth strategies governed by Data first approach. Puneet has also negotiated the policy discussions with the Risk team of lenders and negotiated business aspects of legal contracts with Lending counterparts. In his past roles, Puneet served as Head of Games at Junglee, where he managed profit and loss of a new business unit, built Carrom and Pool RMG products from scratch and transformed them into a ROI positive business. He also envisaged a gaming platform to reduce the launch time of new games by half and provided strategic & operational direction to new Real Money gaming initiatives. Puneet also served as Head of Studio at Yoozoo Games, where he tripled the top-line revenue by introducing innovative market-leading features, launched 4 titles in 1 year, and improved the D1 retention numbers by 50%. Puneet holds a B-Tech degree in Electronics & Instrumentation from VIT. He has expertise in Senior Software Engineering, Mobile, QA, and Data Science.
