Pushpanjali Roy is an Associate at Goldman Sachs with a passion for efficiency in technology. With over 5 years of experience in the field, she has developed expertise in various areas, including development of large-scale real-time web data crawling systems, Linux environment, and AWS integration with ElasticSearch. Pushpanjali's technical interests include exposure to large-scale systems development projects, NoSQL models like Riak, Redis, ELK, and the Spark framework with the integration of Hdfs, Hbase, and Hive. She is responsible for designing and building complex big data pipelines and analytics on top of that. Her experience has given her a good understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and real-time programming. In her current role at Goldman Sachs, Pushpanjali is working in the financial domain of big data, where she integrates and organizes large data volumes and aligns them with business objectives. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, she worked at Sigmoid and PromptCloud Technologies in the field of distributed systems and large-scale web crawling, which has helped her gain in-depth knowledge of browser/web server interaction. At Sigmoid, Pushpanjali worked as a Software Development Engineer, where she was responsible for designing and building complex big data pipelines and analytics on top of that. She primarily worked on Spark and Scala on a scale of 1.5TB data/day through all pipeline stages. She also worked on various exigent projects with elite and fast-evolving technologies like Hive, Hbase, and Spark Streaming. At PromptCloud, she worked as a Software Engineer, where she developed a pipeline for crawling e-commerce websites and centralized logging using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Pushpanjali holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Assam Jobs and a Bachelor of Technology in higher secondary from Lady Keane College, Shillong. She enjoys sharing knowledge, technology talks, and discussions over a cup of hot steaming coffee.
