Rahul Kumar is a Design Engineer II at Cadence, currently working on Digital Signal Processing and Image Processing. He completed a M.Tech Dual 5-year program in Instrumentation and Signal Processing Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Rahul has 2.86 years of relevant experience in the field of Image Processing, designing, OpenCV, ML, and Computer Vision. He has previously worked as a Digital Design and Signal Processing Intern at STMicroelectronics, where he generated a Chirp Signal and implemented it at 77 GHz. He also designed a low-frequency voltage converter at high frequency and modeled a PLL of required multiplication factor of 800 in Matlab. Rahul also modeled a SMASH 6-bit Sigma-Delta DAC with high SNR to shape quantization noise before giving it to PLL to avoid noise multiplication. He also modeled a 2-bit sigma-delta ADC with I/O signal at 50Hz and OSR of 500 to get a bit-stream at 50KHz, reducing voltage converter size. Rahul has also worked as a Content Development Intern at Xilinx, where he verified System commons Verilog Labs for Vivado 2018.1. He made training content on Machine Learning (xfDNN), Xilinx Supported frameworks, and Xilinx OpenCV (xfOpenCV). He also verified the xfOpenCV labs examples on Xilinx ZCU102 Board and made his own application "Person Detection" using xfOpenCV and OpenCV libraries. Rahul also made a lab module for Bilateral filter using xfOpenCV with a step-by-step process on software and Board.
