Rahul Vijay is a seasoned tech executive with over 7 years of experience in the industry. He is currently the Head of Global Direct Tech Deals & Supply Chain at Uber, where he is responsible for leading global IoT, wireless, messaging, voice, network, hardware, data center, telecom & contact center tech deal-making, supply chain, relationships, and spend. His role involves backing various groups at Uber, including Autonomous cars & trucks, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Labs, Micro mobility, Engineering, Mapping Cars, Elevate, Uber Freight, IT, Operations, Product, Machine learning, and UberEats. Rahul's goal is to make outside technologies a competitive advantage for Uber, and he is always on the lookout for solutions that will make Uber do things better, go faster, and be cheaper. Prior to joining Uber, Rahul was a Founding Member of the San Francisco chapter of the Private Directors Association (PDA), where he created, sustained, and enhanced Private Company value through the active use of Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards. He was also an Advisory Board member at AutoThink, a concierge service that provides dealerships and aftermarket service centers a turnkey technology and labor solution for pick-up/drop-off of their customer's vehicles for their service appointments. Rahul has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Hult International Business School, where he focused on International Negotiations, Operations Management, Solutions Marketing, and New Product Development. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University.
