Raj Kumar is a passionate software engineer with 3.94 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently working as a Software Engineer at ShortHills Tech, a Gold Microsoft Partner, Raj has implemented automation using Airflow DAGs to schedule and monitor data pipeline, reducing manual efforts. He has also developed and maintained web applications using Django, Python, and JavaScript, collaborating with the development team to integrate data pipeline with web applications built in Django and Python. Raj has also collaborated with data scientists and analysts to create machine learning models, leveraging the data pipeline to bring models into production. His ability to perform basic data analysis and pre-processing, including cleaning and transforming data for use in Machine Learning models like supervised and unsupervised learning, decision trees, linear regression, and sentiment analysis is commendable. Before joining ShortHills Tech, Raj worked as an Associate at i-pac, where he designed a tracker to track daily movements and performance and created, developed, and mapped election campaigns using data analytics. He also prepared Parliamentary constituency reports based on probable candidate profiles, anti-incumbency analysis, sentiment analysis, probable alliances and seat sharing, past election analysis, caste arithmetic, and centre-state vis-a-vis party-leader equations. Raj was also a Founding Member of an edtech startup, where he introduced the concept of lower fees and affordability to the offline Edtech industry, and developed a bootstrapped and self-sustaining model. He led a team of 15 employees and coordinated among faculties, administration, and operations. He mentored more than 150 students and facilitated them in getting admission to Tier-1/2 colleges. Raj holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Textile Sciences and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is proficient in various technologies like Software Engineering, ML, Sentiment Analysis, Python, Django, Web, Apache Airflow, and JavaScript.
