Rajdeep Dua is an experienced engineering leader with over 22 years of experience in the industry. He is currently serving as the Senior Director of Machine Learning and Software Engineering at Salesforce, where he is leading the ML and NetZero (Sustainability Cloud) Engineering team for Salesforce Industries Cloud. He is responsible for building Cloud and AI teams at Salesforce and evangelizing and sharing knowledge on cloud and machine learning. Rajdeep is an expert in ML, AI, Salesforce, Spark, Docker, Deep Learning, Tensorflow, Neural Networks, Object Detection, Keras, Kubernetes, infra, Big Data, NoSQL, and Hadoop. He has authored several books, including Keras Deep Learning Cookbook, Neural Networks with Tensorflow, Machine Learning (Apache Spark), Docker Networking, and Docker Troubleshooting. In his current role at Salesforce, Rajdeep has shipped products covering multiple use cases, including CPG/Retail, Financial Services Cloud, OCR, and Sentiment Detection in Survey Responses. He has also played a crucial role in delivering the GA of NetZero cloud with Science Based Targets, Waste Management, supplier Management, and AI use cases to predict Energy consumption. Prior to his current role, Rajdeep worked as the Director of Developer Relations at Salesforce, where he was responsible for setting up the charter for Developer Relations and Developer Marketing for Salesforce Platform in India. He has also served as the Director of R&D at VMware, where he incubated new Engineering Projects in the space of Containers and IoT, coordinated OpenStack contributions from VMware India, and contributed to Docker and Kubernetes OpenSource Projects. Rajdeep holds a PGDM in Information Systems and Operations from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He is a frequent contributor to various technology publications and has delivered several talks on cloud computing, virtualization, and machine learning. Rajdeep is a passionate leader who enjoys experimenting with new technologies and building high-performing teams.
