Rajeev Ranjan is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data technologies, GCP, AWS, SQL, NoSQL databases, and Python development. He is currently working as an Engineering Manager for Data Engineering at Dream11, where he is building batch and real-time data pipelines on GCP for Priceline and taking ideas to delivery. Rajeev has a strong background in the Banking and Finance domain and has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry. He has a rich experience in designing and developing data solutions, including Data Lakehouse on GCP, low latency ingestion and egestion patterns, and customer360 platform API for real-time recommendations with storage on a graph database (Neo4j). He has also developed a booking propensity model using the booking and search data. In his previous role as Manager, Data Engineering at Priceline (Booking Holdings), Rajeev led teams of talented data engineers in building the customer data platform and DevOps for data engineering. He was responsible for finalizing data architecture with stakeholders, planning and delivering code, doing code reviews, and mentoring his teams. He also designed and developed a framework to migrate data from on-prem databases to BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Bigtable. Before joining Priceline, Rajeev worked as Lead Data Engineer at Morningstar, where he designed the datalake on AWS, patterns for low latency ingestion and egestion, and contributed to modeling of people analytics project. He was responsible for encrypting and protecting sensitive data on cloud and on-prem systems. Rajeev holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
