Rajinder Mattoo is a seasoned retail professional with over 32 years of experience in the apparel and fashion, duty-free, FMCG, and hospitality industries. Currently, he serves as the Country Manager Retail Operations & Business Expansion for Montaigne Place, where he leads and manages the company's retail organization across different verticals. He is responsible for driving people, product, and space productivity through a set of operating and monitoring processes to enable a strong bottom line. Rajinder is also a strategic thinker who tailors strategies to optimize business output through effective marketing plans coupled with brand visibility. He drives expansion of company and partner-owned brands through identification of new potential locations to increase the geographical visibility and drive business volumes. In his previous role as National Sales & Business Development Head for Vajor, Rajinder drove sales and profitability through different channels, including offline, online, marketplaces, domestic & international collaborations, and identification of new business markets. He fixed product pricing & margins set up at various levels, formulated differential marketing strategies for varied business verticals, and managed & strengthened different business channels through periodic reviews with stakeholders and driving strategies to enhance business productivity. He also managed the end-to-end supply chain right from production to timely dispatch of stocks. Before joining Montaigne Place and Vajor, Rajinder was a self-employed retail expert and consultant, providing business insights to FII’s, Private Equity firms, and Venture Capitalists. He delivered seven projects through expert guidance on innerwear, western wear, menswear, and casual wear businesses. Rajinder holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and a Bachelor's Degree in Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Pusa New Delhi. He also completed Higher Secondary and High School from Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir, Jammu Tawi, and Shastri Memorial Public School, Jammu Tawi, respectively. Rajinder is a research scientist with strong expertise in retail operations, supply chain management, and inventory management. He is a strategic thinker with proven experience in driving sales, profitability, and business growth through effective marketing plans and brand visibility.
